Counselling and Psychotherapy for Young People - The Brandon Centre

COUNSELLING & PSYCHOTHERAPY

THE DRUM

As part of London City YMCA, The Drum hosts a range of projects for young people. Counselling at The Drum was set up by the Brandon Centre in 2002, with a grant from the Cripplegate Foundation. In 2004, a grant from EC1 New Deal enabled us to expand the service. The Drum provides counselling and psychotherapy to anyone between the ages of 12-21 who lives, works, goes to school or studies in South Islington. The service is free of charge and is open Wednesday to Friday. The team consists of an administrative secretary and two qualified psychotherapists.

Getting started
The service is available throughout the year, except for one week at Christmas and during August. You can go on our waiting list either by referral, calling in at the Drum during opening times or by phoning us on 020 7336 0022. When you reach the top of the waiting list we will contact you either by letter or telephone to let you know when you have an appointment. We will do our best to ensure that this is at a time convenient to you, although the more flexible you can be, the more quickly we will be likely to offer you an appointment.

Consultation Service for Parents in EC1
We also provide a free and confidential service for parents of teenagers and young adults who are experiencing problems.
