Parenting Group News
The Brandon Centre will be starting 2 new 'Parenting With Love and Limits' groups on Thursday 24th and Friday 25th April 2008. The Thursday group will be run in the evenings from 6pm until 8pm and the Friday group will run in the mornings from 10am until 12pm.

Trail Blaze - The Cannabis Game
The Council's cannabis awareness board game - Trail Blaze - devised by one our MST therapists, Moira Lamond, when she was working for the Haringey Youth Offending Service (YOS), won the national Communicating Youth Justice Award for best promotional work presented by the Youth Justice Board last week, 16 November 2007.

Teen Triple P Group Programme
Four members of staff have been trained in Teen Triple P. Teen Triple P is a scientifically researched family support strategy designed to help parents improve their parenting skills and build positive relationships with their teenage children.
Family and Parenting Interventions
The Brandon Centre is pleased to have been commissioned by Camden's Parenting and Family Support Commissioning Panel to provide MST for three families from the Somali community where parents need help with a teenage child showing a high level of antisocial behaviour.
Contraceptive and Sexual Health Service
Jessica Thom has been appointed as the Centre's new full-time Contraceptive and Sexual Health Service Co-ordinator. Part of her job will involve outreach sessions in schools, colleges and other youth settings and providing in-house sessions for groups of young people. The sessions are intended to increase awareness among young people of the risks associated with unsafe sex and inform them of where to get help. Jessica is joined at the Centre by Cristelle Brooks who is the new Contraceptive and Sexual Health Service receptionist replacing Dominique Golden. Dominique is on maternity leave. Cristelle works on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. She shares the post with Katrina Wright who recently returned from maternity leave and works on Thursday and Friday.
