COUNSELLING & PSYCHOTHERAPY HOW WE CAN HELP At the Brandon Centre trained staff offer counselling and psychotherapy to young people aged 12 to 21 years, regardless of where they live. At The Drum trained staff offer counselling and psychotherapy to young people who are living, working or studying in South Islington. Find out more about The Drum. Everyone goes through difficult times in life. Very often, young people don't want to discuss their problems with their family or teachers and that's why the Brandon Centre exists: to offer you extra help and support and make sure that you're not dealing with difficult issues that are making you sad, angry or unhappy on your own. Examples of some of the kinds of problems we can help with include:
If your particular problem is not in this list, that doesn't matter. You can come to talk to us about anything that is making life difficult for you. It doesn't matter how big or small the problem is. A lot of people think that when you have counselling or psychotherapy you get advice on how to live your life, but this is not the case. Instead you talk to your counsellor or therapist about the things that are making life difficult for you so that together you can think about ways of making choices and changes that feel right for you. You and Your GP In order to provide you with the best possible care, we like to be able to liaise with your GP, or if appropriate, other services that may be involved in your care.
